After-Hours, Urgent, and Emergency Care Your health needs don't always follow a 9-to-5 schedule. Here’s what to do when you need care outside of normal clinic hours. • For True Emergencies: If you experience a threat to life, limb, or eyesight, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room immediately. The nearest emergency room to Ireland Army Health Clinic is Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. • For Urgent Health Advice: Call the MHS Nurse Advice Line (NAL) at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1. • Available 24/7, this service connects you with a registered nurse who can provide medical advice, help you find the nearest urgent care center, and schedule next-day appointments at IRAHC if needed. • Active-duty Service Members: You must call the Nurse Advice Line to receive a referral before visiting a civilian urgent care center to avoid out-of-pocket costs.

Ambient listening is an advanced and secure technology that acts like a private assistant for providers. It automatically and confidentially writes notes from the conversation, allowing providers to engage more directly with the patient, resulting in a more personalized experience.
Your well-being is our top priority. Every patient — and every health care professional — has the right to request a chaperone during a medical examination. Chaperones are staff available to support you during any physical exam, medical visit, or dental visit.
